About the Game

THE GAME

All games are played on sport court ( special plastic pad we install after the ice is removed).  Designed for inline hockey.

Each game has two 17 min.  periods.  Stop time.

Teams do not switch ends ( some leagues or tournaments may switch ends).

A game is played with four skaters and a goalie.  You can change on the fly.

A team can roster up to 14 skaters and one goalie.  However you can also play with as few as 4 skaters. However, if there is an off setting penalty called the team with 4 skaters forfeits the game.

A player must be on a roster to be to play.  To qualify for the play offs a player must be rostered and have played not less than 3 regular season games.

There are no off sides or iceings.

This is a non contact sport.  Thus no body checking allowed.

TIME KEEPER

THE TIME KEEPERS JOB AND DUTIES

The time keepers role is to try to keep to the schedule in terms of all game start times.

The first game of the night will commence as per the scheduled start time.  The running clock prior to game time is showing the time remaining until the game starts.

If one team is not ready the time keeper will hold the start of the game for no more than 2 minutes.  If after the 2 minutes a team is still not ready to go, the game clock is started and will tick down to 15 minutes.  The team that was not ready at game time will be assessed a delay of game penalty.  The game will start with the players that are ready to go.  If the game clock reaches the 10 minute mark of the first period, and the late team has not fielded at least 4 skaters, then they will forfeit the game.  The balance of the game will be played out as a scrimage and the final game score shall be recorded as 3 - 0 .
